Do I Need RAW Footage?
This is a common question asked while booking your Videography package - “What about RAW Footage? Can I order that too?” The answer, of course, is Yes! However, it would not be the first time a couple get surprised at what they see.
RAW Footage, to many production companies such as us, refers to the dozens (if not hundreds) of small video and audio clips captured throughout your wedding day. These clips are only organized by camera or source, and unless you or your spouse work in video production, are more than likely not what you are looking for...
The good news, however, is that the type of “raw” footage you are referring to is included in every video package we offer as the base deliverable. Our editing team takes the hundreds of small clips separated by camera and organize them in our software to play back the full-length segments of your day.
First Looks, Private Vows, Ceremonies, Grand Entrances, Blessings, Speeches, Toasts, First Dances — anything with prominent speaking and/or motion and emotion will be shown to you at the highest production quality possible utilizing multiple camera angles and pro-audio capture. This film, depending on your exact day and package selection, averages about 50 minutes in length, and is generally what couples are looking for when they ask for really anything besides their Highlight Film.
To reiterate - yes, you can absolutely order RAW Footage, but make sure that is what you want, because you are already getting a documentary-style, professionally cut and colored Feature Film of your wedding day. This is included in every package, while our 3-7 minute Highlight Films are included with every booking 6 hours or greater.
